Taxon description
Gatunek rzadko spotykany, choć szeroko rozpowszechniony na torfowiskach w Europie i w zachodniej części Syberii. W Europie na południe dochodzi do północnych części Hiszpanii, Francji, Włoch, Austrii i Czechosłowacji, na północ zaś sięga do najdalszych krańców. W całym swym zasięgu gatunek stenotopowy na torfowiskach sfagnowych. Spotykany zarówno w bardzo wilgotnej warstwie mchów, jak i na silnie nasłonecznionych glebach torfowych.
