Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1978:
Podgatunek o ograniczonym zasięgu występowania do sąsiadujących ze sobą jaskiń w Sokolich Górach koło Częstochow, jest on tutaj reliktem polodowcowym. Drugi podgatunek, nominatywny, znany tylko z Finlandii, północnej części ZSRR i z Ałtaju. Omawiany podgatunek prowadzi ukryty, podziemny sposób życia żerując na szczątkach organicznych przedostających się do jaskiń.
