Taxon description
Gatunek górski, obejmujący zasięgiem środkowe i wschodnie Alpy, Wyżynę Czeską, Sudety i Karpaty Zachodnie. W Polsce znany z Sudetów, Beskidu Zachodniego i Tatr. Występuje głównie w strefie subalpejskiej i alpejskiej, niekiedy zstępuje do strefy leśnej. Spotykany przez cały okres wegetacyjny pod mchem, kamieniami i wśród traw. Roślina żywicielska nie jest znana.
