Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 2000:
Gatunek rozmieszczony od południowej Szwecji, Finlandii, Karelii, Litwy i Danii po Francję, Niemcy, Polskę, Czechy, Morawy, Słowację i Ukrainę. Prawdopodobnie wszystkie dane z Polski i sąsiednich krajów dotyczące Donacia antiqua Kunze należy odnieść do Donacia brevitarsis Thoms. (Borowiec 1989). W Polsce notowany z pojedynczych stanowisk położonych w czterech krainach. Bionomia nie jest znana. Imagines poławiano na oczerecie jeziornym — Schoenoplectus lacustris (L.) Palla, rosnącym na brzegach wód stojących lub wolno płynących.
