Burakowski et al. 2000:
Gatunek rozsiedlony w Wielkiej Brytanii, południowej Norwegii i Szwecji, Finlandii, Danii i Niemczech. Z Polski notowany tylko z jednego stanowiska. Występuje w ogrodach, na łąkach i pastwiskach; poławiany pod gnijącym sianem, ekskrementami konia i w nawozie stajennym.
