Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1991:
Gatunek palearktyczny, rozprzestrzeniony od zachodnich wybrzeży Europy i Afryki Północnej przez Syberię po dorzecze Amura; w Europie na północ docierający do południowych prowincji Fennoskandii oraz Karelii. W Polsce chrząszcz pospolity, występujący zapewne na całym obszarze, jednak nie jest wykazany jeszcze z wielu krain. Spotykany na różnych gatunkach roślin z rodziny traw — Gramineae.
