Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1991:
Gatunek zamieszkujący południową, środkową i wschodnią część Europy, na wschód przez Syberię sięgający do Amuru. W Europie na północ docierający do południowych prowincji Fennoskandii i Karelii. W Polsce chrząszcz rzadko spotykany, znany z nielicznych miejscowości w pięciu krainach. Występuje jako element charakterystyczny w środowiskach kserotermicznych. Żeruje na wężymordzie niskim — Scorzonera humilis L. i na łopianach — Arctium L.
