[KFP 4381: Chrysolina purpurascens] Gatunek obejmujący zasięgiem Sudety, Karpaty i ich przedgórza oraz obszary górzyste NRD i RFN, Czechosłowacji i Austrii. W Polsce występuje wzdłuż całego łuku sudeckiego i karpackiego, ale jest dość rzadko spotykany. Poławiany od maja do lipca, na roślinach zielnych, pod mchem i kamieniami. W Karpatach Wschodnich obserwowano żerowanie chrząszczy na lepiężniku białym — Petasites albus (L.) Gaertn.
