Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1990b:
Gatunek Oreina alpestris (Schumm.) obejmuje zasięgiem Pireneje, górzyste obszary w NRD i RFN, góry Czech oraz całe Sudety i Karpaty; występuje w kilku podgatunkach. Podgatunek nominotypowy występuje w pasie sudecko-karpackim, a więc i na obszarze naszego kraju. Zasiedla tereny górzyste od podgórzy aż po wyższe położenia, gdzie jest częściej spotykany. Poławiany od maja do lipca na trybuli leśnej — Anthriscus silvestris (L.) Hoffm., świerząbku orzęsionym — Chaerophyllum hirsutum L., modrzyku górskim — Mulgedium alpinum Less., miłośnie górskiej — Adenostyles alliariae (Gouan) Kern., omiegach — Doronicum L., lepiężnikach — Petasites Mill. oraz innych gatunkach górskich. Larwy żerują tylko na roślinach baldaszkowatych — Umbelliferae.
