Taxon description
Gatunek szeroko rozprzestrzeniony w prawie całej Europie, sięgający do jej skrajnych krańców północnych, wykazany również z Kaukazu. W Polsce jeden z najpospolitszych gatunków omawianego rodzaju. Występuje głównie na terenach lesistych pod opadłym listowiem, murszejącymi gałęziami, na padlinie, rzadziej spotykany w pryzmach nawozu i kompostu.
