Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1974:
Gatunek notowany z południowej Europy oraz południowo-wschodniej części Europy Środkowej. Jego rozsiedlenie nie jest dokładnie znane, gdyż mylono go często z pokrewnym gatunkiem Acupalpus (Acupalpus) dorsalis (Fabr.) albo uważano za odmianę tego ostatniego. W Polsce nie występuje. W zbiorach krajowych brak okazów dowodowych. Wszystkie dane w piśmiennictwie oparte są niewątpliwie na błędnych oznaczeniach. Omyłkowo wykazany z Niziny Mazowieckiej, sprawdzone okazy dowodowe (Burakowski 1957b) w zbiorze Sz. Tenenbauma należą do Acupalpus (Acupalpus) exiguus Dej. albo do Acupalpus (Acupalpus) dubius Schils. Również dane z Roztocza są niewiarogodne, gdyż w zbiorze F. Fejfera brak okazów omawianego gatunku. O danych z Pobrzeża Bałtyku, Pojezierza Pomorskiego i Śląska wątpi A. Horion (1941). Według tego autora gatunek żyje na suchych, kserotermicznych terenach o podłożu piaszczysto-gliniastym.
