Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1976:
Gatunek szeroko rozprzestrzeniony w północnej części Holarktyki, notowany też z Kaukazu i Zakaukazia. W Polsce występuje zarówno na nizinach jak i w górach, gdzie sięga do piętra kosodrzewiny i hal. Żyje w zarosłych trawami i turzycami drobnych zbiornikach wodnych, jak kałuże, bajorka i mokradła, niekiedy spotykany w przybrzeżnej strefie jezior i stawów.
