Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 2000:

Gatunek opisany ze Szwecji na początku ubiegłego stulecia, ale później traktowany jako odmiana Agonum (Agonum) moestum (Duft.). Stosunkowo niedawno, na podstawie rewizji materiałów z przeszło 20 krajów europejskich, J. Schmidt (1994) przywrócił rangę samodzielnego gatunku. Z Polski notowany z sześciu stanowisk położonych w czterech krainach. Zasiedla głównie tereny nizinne, rzadziej górzyste do wysokości około 1600 m n.p.m. Występuje na wilgotnych łąkach, bagnach, na ilastych brzegach wód oraz w lasach łęgowych; łowiony wśród rozłogów turzyc — Carex L. w detrytusie i pod napływkami.
