Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1974:
Gatunek rozsiedlony w Europie od środkowej Francji, północnych Włoch i Jugosławii, przez środkową Europę aż do kola podbiegunowego, notowany również z zachodniej Syberii. Żyje na pobrzeżach różnych typów wód stojących lub wolno płynących, szczególnie na glebach gliniastych pokrytych bogatą roślinnością, niekiedy tylko spotykany na nasłonecznionych miejscach.
