Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1985:
Gatunek rozsiedlony w Europie Środkowej i Wschodniej, docierający na zachód do Belgii i Francji, a na południe (jako odrębny podgatunek) do środkowej części Włoch, Bośni i Bułgarii; notowany nadto z trzech południowych prowincji Szwecji. W Polsce rzadko znajdowany, znany z nielicznych stanowisk w różnych częściach kraju. Wykazany przez T. Trellę (1932) z okolicy Przemyśla — z miejscowości Szechynie, obecnie znajdującej się w Ukraińskiej SRR. Larwy żyją w obumierających albo i nadłamanych gałęziach drzew i krzewów. Jako rośliny żywicielskie są podawane: jesion wyniosły — Fraxinus excelsior L., ligustr pospolity — Ligustrum vulgare L. i bez pospolity — Syringa vulgaris L. Postacie dojrzałe są spotykane w czerwcu i lipcu, przeważnie na jednorocznych lub dwuletnich odroślach, przyciętych żywopłotach, rzadziej na drzewach starszych.
