Taxon description
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony w Europie południowej i środkowej, znany także z Kaukazu i Azji Mniejszej. Wszędzie notowany jako występujący lokalnie. Występuje prawdopodobnie w całej Polsce. Materiał lęgowy dla tego gatunku stanowią wierzby, zwłaszcza typu krzaczastego: przeważnie: wierzba uszata — Salix aurita L., rzadziej wierzba iwa — S. caprea L. i wierzba wiciowa — S. viminalis L. Postacie dojrzałe poławiano w czerwcu i lipcu.
