Taxon description
Ciepłolubny gatunek zachodniopalearktyczny, w Europie rozmieszczony od północnej części Hiszpanii, środkowych Włoch, Dalmacji, południowo-zachodniej części ZSRR, po Lotaryngię we Francji i południową część Europy Środkowej, notowany również z Kaukazu i Iranu. W Polsce bardzo rzadko spotykany ze względu na warunki jakich wymaga. Podany ze Śląska Dolnego, na podstawie jednego okazu znalezionego przed przeszło stu laty, przez K. Letznera (1871); wzmianka ta była następnie powtarzana przez innych autorów. Występowanie na Śląsku obecnie możliwe, ale wymaga potwierdzenia nowym materiałem. Natomiast na pewno omawiany gatunek występuje na Wyżynie Małopolskiej w Niecce Nidziańskiej, gdzie został wykryty niedawno. Ze względu na rzadkość połowów warunki ekologiczne słabo znane. Znalezione 23 i 25 V 1952 w okolicy Buska pojedyncze okazy były jeszcze młodymi osobnikami, miękkimi i nie zupełnie wybarwionymi, jeden z nich znajdował się wśród rzadkich traw na suchym pastwisku (Baranów), drugi natomiast, z terenu cegielni koło Buska, został wydobyty z gleby na nasłonecznionej skarpie dołu po wybranej glinie (B. Burakowski*).
