Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1981:
Gatunek zamieszkujący głównie środkową i południową część Europy, na wschód sięgający do Kaukazu i Armeńskiej SRR, znany również z Anglii, Danii oraz z pojedynczych stanowisk w Holandii, Belgii i południowej Szwecji. Wszędzie występuje rzadko i lokalnie. W Polsce notowany z pojedynczych stanowisk tylko w sześciu krainach. Zasiedla tereny pagórkowate, podgórza i górskie doliny rzeczne. Znajdowany w detrytusie i pod rozkładającymi się szczątkami roślinnymi, przeważnie w miejscach wilgotnych, na pobrzeżach rzek i stawów, na polach uprawnych, w dołach po wybranym piasku łub żwirze, ale również na zboczach kserotermicznych pod kamieniami i w kępach trawy.
