Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1981:
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony w środkowej części Europy i w Fennoskandii, na północ sięgający daleko poza koło podbiegunowe, a na wschód do Kaukazu i Syberii. W Polsce występuje prawdopodobnie na całym obszarze, brak jednak jeszcze udokumentowanych danych z wielu krain. Żyje w gniazdach mrówek, zwłaszcza licznie znajdowany w mrowiskach Formica rufa L., rzadziej F. pratensis Retz. i Lasius fuliginosus (Latr.).
