Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1987:
Gatunek zamieszkujący środkową i południowo-wschodnią częśó Europy, notowany też z Azji Mniejszej. W Polsce znany z nielicznych, przeważnie pojedynczych stanowisk w zachodnich i południowych krainach, tylko na Śląsku Dolnym poławiany w liczniejszych miejscowościach. Bionomia tego gatunku słabo poznana. W. Szymczakowski (1971) spotykał tego chrząszcza od końca maja do drugiej połowy sierpnia w biotopach kserotermicznych. J. Gerhardt (1910) poławiał go na przytulii pospolitej — Galium mollugo L. i goryszu pagórkowym — Peucedanum oreoselinum (L.) Moench. M. Tomalak (1977) wyhodował postacie dojrzałe z drewna trzmieliny zwyczajnej — Evonymus europaea L.
