Taxon description
Gatunek borealno-górski, znany z Wysp Brytyjskich, północnej części Fennoskandii, Alp, Sudetów, Beskidów, Karpat i Siedmiogrodu. Z uwagi na skryty sposób życia rzadko spotykany. W Polsce znany z południowej części kraju, o występowaniu w Gdańsku i Prusach wątpi A. Horion (1963). Występuje głównie w gniazdach świstaków, wiosną niekiedy na krzewach i kwitnących roślinach zielnych.
