Taxon description
Klimaszewski 1967:
Być może również zoocecydium znalezione na rdeście gruczołowatym — Polygonum tomentosum Schr. w Piątnicy koło Legnicy (Hieronymus 1890) wywołane było przez żerowanie Aphalara borealis Hesl. -Harr. wiadomość ta jednak jest wątpliwa. Poza Polską znany w Europie z Anglii, Skandynawii, Austrii, Rumunii i europejskiej części ZSRR. Poza tym stwierdzono występowanie jego na Syberii a także w Kazachstanie i Mongolii. Żyje prawdopodobnie na kilku gatunkach rdestów — Polygonum tomentosum Schr., Polygonum amphibium L., Polygonum lapatifolium L., przy czym jest bardzo prawdopodobne, że na określonym obszarze jest monofagiem na jednym z wymienionych rdestów.
