Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1983:
Gatunek rozsiedlony prawie w całej Europie, prócz północnych części Fennoskandii, znany nadto z Azji Mniejszej, Zakaukazia, Łanu i Turkiestanu. W Europie w miarę posuwania się na zachód i południe coraz częściej spotykany. W Polsce zasiedla tereny nizinne i niższe położenia górskie na całym obszarze. Występuje, niekiedy licznie, od kwietnia do czerwca na ciepłych miejscach trawiastych, przeważnie w świeżych ekskrementach krów i koni.
