Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1991:
Gatunek rozmieszczony w znacznej części Europy, na północ docierający do Irlandii i południowej Szwecji, a na południe do Pirenejów, południowych Włoch, Libanu oraz krajów zakaukaskich. W Polsce chrząszcz mało znany, notowany z nielicznych stanowisk w siedmiu krainach południowych. Bez bliższych danych A. Warchałowski (1978) pisze, że jest również znany z Pienin. Żeruje na różnych gatunkach wilczomleczów — Euphorbia L. Zwykle występuje gromadnie.
