Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1986c:
Gatunek borealno-górski występujący w Europie od północnych prowincji Fennoskandii i półwyspu Kola przez górzyste obszary w środkowej części kontynentu aż do Pirenejów, Alp, Apeninów i gór w Jugosławii i Grecji. W Polsce notowany z nielicznych miejscowości tylko w ośmiu krainach, przy czym większość danych o rozmieszczeniu oparta jest na znaleziskach sprzed kilkudziesięciu, a nawet przeszło stu lat. Bionomia tego gatunku nie jest dotąd poznana. Postacie dojrzałe poławiano najczęściej na świerkach; według P. Osterloffa (1885) chrząszcz ten jest rzadkością i był znaleziony koło Warszawy w listopadzie pod mchem koło pieńka sosnowego.
