Taxon description
Gatunek szeroko rozprzestrzeniony w Palearktyce, notowany również z Ameryki Północnej. Wszędzie, również w Polsce, niezbyt często spotykany i nie wykazany jeszcze z wielu krain, a większość danych o rozmieszczeniu opiera się na znaleziskach sprzed przeszło 50, a nawet 100 lat. Znajdowany w spróchniałych pieńkach, gnijących grzybach, wśród mchów, pod opadłymi liśćmi, przy soku wyciekającym z drzew, na padlinie i pod wyplewionym zielskiem.
