Taxon description
Pospolity gatunek palearktyczny, rozprzestrzeniony prawie w całej Europie oprócz skrajnych północnych prowincji Fennoskandii, notowany poza tym z Ameryki Północnej. Występuje prawdopodobnie na całym obszarze Polski, ale nie znany jest jeszcze z wielu krain. Znajdowany na pobrzeżach rzek i jezior oraz na wilgotnych łąkach pod opadłymi, gnijącymi liśćmi i innymi rozkładającymi się szczątkami roślinnymi, niekiedy w grzybach.
