Taxon description
Gatunek borealno-górski, mało znany, o niedostatecznie poznanych wymaganiach ekologicznych, bionomii i rozsiedleniu, gdyż nie odróżniany od Atomaria (Atomaria) alpina Heer. Rozsiedlony głównie w Fennoskandii docierając w Szwecji do skrajnych prowincji na północy, notowany z Berlina, skąd był opisany przed przeszło 140 laty, od niedawna stwierdzony w czterech prowincjach Niemiec, ponadto wykazany z Austrii, Czech, Moraw i Słowacji. W Polsce złowiony w Puszczy Białowieskiej, w lesie o pierwotnym charakterze; poza tym notowany ogólnikowo ze Śląska.
