Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1995:
Gatunek zasiedlający zachodnią i środkową część Europy oraz północne Włochy, docierający na północ do Wysp Brytyjskich, Danii i południowej Szwecji, a na wschód do Kaukazu, Krymu i zachodniego Kazachstanu. W Polsce drążyn brukwiowy występuje pospolicie na całym obszarze. Zasiedla łąki, ogrody, pastwiska, przydroża, mokradła, rowy, tamy i słonawiska. Pojaw postaci dojrzałych jest rozciągnięty w czasie — chrząszcze poławiano od maja do października. Roślinami żywicielskimi tego drążyna są chrzan pospolity — Armoracia lapathifolia Gilib., gorczycznik pospolity — Barbaraea vulgaris R. Br., rzepicha błotna — Rorippa palustris (Leyss.) Bess., rzepicha leśna — R. silvestris (L.) Bess., rzepicha ziemnowodna — R. amphibia (L.) Bess. i pieprzyca szerokolistna — Lepidium latifolium L. Larwy żerują w korzeniach.
