Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1995:
Szeroko rozprzestrzeniony w Europie z wyjątkiem północnych obszarów Fennoskandii, notowany poza tym z Azji Mniejszej i Azji Środkowej. W Polsce znany z nielicznych stanowisk w dziewięciu tylko krainach. Bionomia tego chrząszcza jest słabo poznana. Postacie dojrzałe poławiano zwykle od marca do października. We Francji imagines znajdowano wielokrotnie pod wodą na jeżogłówce gałęzistej — Sparganium ramosum Huds. oraz na pobrzeżach wód (Hoffmann 1958).
