Taxon description
Rzadko spotykany gatunek górski, znany z nielicznych stanowisk w Alpach Wschodnich, ponadto notowany z Niżnych Tatr, ale w ostatnim spisie chrząszczy czechosłowackich jego występowanie na Słowacji zostało opatrzone znakiem zapytania. W Polsce wykazany z jednego stanowiska w Bieszczadach, na podstawie jednego okazu złowionego w lipcu 1974 r. na żwirowisku nadrzecznym, na stoku schodzącym do Sanu. Biologia nie jest poznana. Chrząszcz zasiedla doliny rzeczne, lasy łęgowe, piaszczyste i żwirowiskowe brzegi rzek i jezior, poławiany wśród mchów i w detrytusie.
