Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1978:
Gatunek rozmieszczony niemal w całej Europie z wyjątkiem jej skrajnych części południowych, w Fennoskandii sięgający daleko poza koło podbiegunowe. W Polsce znany z nielicznych i rozproszonych stanowisk na obszarach nizinnych i górzystych. Żyje w cienistych lasach, głównie w ściółce, zmurszałym drewnie i pod odstającą korą pni i pieńków, niekiedy w gniazdach mrówek Lasius brunneus (Latr.), Lasius fuliginosus (Latr.) i Formica rufa L.
