Taxon description
Gatunek o niedostatecznie wyjaśnionym rozmieszczeniu, gdyż mylony z innymi gatunkami. Pewne stanowiska leżą w środkowej Europie oraz we Francji i północnych Włoszech (Horion 1963, Lohse 1964). W Polsce wykazany tylko z dwu stanowisk, wymagających jednak potwierdzenia nowymi materiałami. Według A. Szujeckiego (1968, 1969) omyłkowo wykazany z Krakowa (Mazur 1922) i okolic Warszawy (Tenenbaum 1937, 1938) na podstawie błędnie oznaczonych okazów Bledius opacus subsinuatus Muls. et Rey. Znajdowany najczęściej na pobrzeżach rzek i jezior — na miejscach piaszczystych pokrytych cienką warstwą iłu i słabo porośniętych roślinnością.
