Gatunek holocykliczny i jednodomny. Monofag na lnicy pospolitej — Linaria vulgaris (L.) Mill. Żeruje na przyziemnych częściach łodygi i na szyjce korzeniowej, zawsze odwiedzany przez mrówki.
