Taxon description
Szelegiewicz 1968:
Prawdopodobnie rozsiedlony w całej Europie, ale znany dotąd tylko z Włoch, Niemiec, Polski, Czechosłowacji, Węgier i Ukrainy.
Gatunek holocykliczny i jednodomny. Monofag na żmijowcu zwyczajnym — Echium vulgare L. Żeruje na przyziemnych częściach łodygi i szyjce korzeniowej, zawsze odwiedzany przez mrówki.
