Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1990a:
[KFP — (4231b): Bruchidius varius] Gatunek zamieszkujący południową część środkowej Europy, Europę Południową, Afrykę Północną i Kaukaz. U nas z całą pewnością nie stwierdzony; omyłkowo zaliczony przez L. Borowca (1980) do chrząszczy krajowych. Ogólnikowa wzmianka o występowaniu w Polsce opierała się na danych odnoszących się do jednego stanowiska na Podolu.
