Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1990a:
Gatunek występujący w środkowej i południowej części Europy oraz na wyspach Morza Śródziemnego, notowany ponadto z Danii i południowej Szwecji. W Polsce jest chrząszczem dość pospolitym i choć nie jest jeszcze znany z niektórych krain, występuje prawdopodobnie na całym obszarze prócz wyższych partii górskich. Jest gatunkiem polifagicznym, odbywającym rozwój w nasionach szczodrzeńców — Cytisus L., janowców — Genista L., żarnowców — Sarothamnus Wimm., wyki kosmatej — Vicia villosa Roth, a nawet robinii akacjowej — Robinia pseudacacia L.
