Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1983:
Endemiczny wysokogórski gatunek o zasięgu ograniczonym do południowo-wschodniej części Alp. W Polsce nie występuje. Z uwagi na rozmieszczenie ogólne, doniesienia o występowaniu w Beskidach Zachodnich są niewiarygodne. Omyłkowo wykazany według K. Letznera (1888) z Góry Baraniej (Roger 1856) na podstawie błędnego oznaczenia B. glabratus Heer. Nie sprawdzone dane o występowaniu w Beskidzie Zachodnim były podstawą błędnych wzmianek ogólnikowych o występowaniu w Karpatach, Galicji i na Śląsku. O zasiedleniu Babiej Góry wątpi A. Horion (1955), zaś M. Mroczkowski (1958) stwierdza, że «Gatunek ten w Karpatach nie występuje». Z listy chrząszczy babiogórskich został ostatecznie skreślony przez J. Pawłowskiego (1964).
