Taxon description
Gatunek rozmieszczony od Francji przez całą Europę Środkową aż do Ukraińskiej SRR, notowany także z północnej części Włoch i Kaukazu. W Polsce wykazywany z nielicznych rozproszonych stanowisk w siedmiu tylko krainach. Występuje na terenach nizinnych i w niższych położeniach górskich. Rozwój larwalny odbywa w owocnikach grzybów z rodzaju kurzawka — Bovista Pers.
