Taxon description
Najpospolitszy gatunek omawianego rodzaju, szeroko rozpowszechniony prawie w całej Palearktyce, w Europie docierający do najdalszych krańców północnych; w miarę posuwania się na południe coraz rzadziej spotykany. W Polsce rzadko i sporadycznie znajdowany, znany tylko z siedmiu krain. Występuje na obszarach nizinnych i w niższych położeniach górskich. Poławiany w ściółce i wśród mchów, w miejscach wilgotnych, na torfowiskach i pobrzeżach wód.
