Taxon description
Heintze 1990:
Gatunek pospolity, podobnie jak C. morpheus, pojawia się w dwu pokoleniach. Motyl lata od IV do VII i od VIII do X; gąsienice żerują na roślinach zielnych jesienią, zimując w oprzędach, oraz w VII i VIII. Motyle można czasem zaobserwować na wsi w izbach, kiedy polatują po kątach, szukając w koszach z jarzynami lub między resztkami pieczywa miejsc do złożenia jajeczek.
