Taxon description
Gatunek rozsiedlony w prawie całej Europie z wyjątkiem skrajnych prowincji północnych Fennoskandii, wykazany nadto z Kaukazu, północnej Afryki i Ameryki Północnej. Wszędzie rzadko i sporadycznie spotykany. Żyje na wilgotnych, piaszczystych, słabo porośniętych roślinnością miejscach na pobrzeżach wód, w dołach po wybranym piasku lub glinie. Znajdowany przeważnie pod rozkładającymi się szczątkami roślinnymi.
