Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1991:
Gatunek obejmujący zasięgiem południową część zachodniej Palearktyki od wybrzeży Atlantyku po Azję Środkową. Granica północna zasięgu przebiega od zachodniej Francji przez prowincje południowe republik niemieckich, Nizinę Wielkopolską, Wyżynę Lubelską i Wołyń po dorzecze dolnej Wołgi. W Polsce znany z nielicznych stanowisk w sześciu tylko krainach. Wprawdzie był wykazany przez Sz. Tenenbauma (1918) z «Zamojskiego», ale według M Węgrzeckiego (1963) brak w zbiorze okazów dowodowych z tego obszaru. Dawne ogólnikowe wzmianki z Galicji, Polski i Karpat są oparte na danych z terenów leżących obecnie poza naszymi granicami. Występuje na różnych roślinach z rodziny komosowatych — Chenopodiaceae, najczęściej na łobodach — Atriplex L. i komosach — Chenopodium L. Larwy żyją w glebie i żerują na korzeniach.
