Taxon description
Gatunek dość rzadko notowany, o słabo poznanym rozmieszczeniu, gdyż do niedawna mylony z Ch. solieri Cast. et Gory. Występuje tylko w Europie Środkowej od Austrii i NRD przez Czechosłowację i Polskę do Ukraińskiej SRR (nie jest jasne, czy dane z Kaukazu odnoszą się do Ch. igniventris (Reitt.) czy do Ch. solieri Cast. et Gory). W Polsce wszystkie, widziane przez R. Hołyńskiego okazy „Ch. solieri” z obszarów na wschód od Odry, należą do Ch. igniventris (Reitt.). Omawiany gatunek odbywa rozwój na sosnach, rzadziej na świerkach.
