Taxon description
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony w południowej i środkowej części Europy, na północ sięgający po Danię i południowe prowincje Szwecji; notowany też z Kaukazu, Kazachstanu i Syberii. W Polsce znany z kilkunastu krain od Pojezierzy aż po Tatry. Występuje głównie na suchych terenach otwartych. Żeruje na różnych gatunkach babek — Plantago L., bylic — Artemisia L. Postacie dojrzałe poławiano wiosną i jesienią.
