Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1986c:

Rozsiedlony od Wysp Brytyjskich i południowych prowincji Szwecji przez całą Europę Środkową aż do krajów śródziemnomorskich, przy czym w miarę posuwania się na północ i wschód areału gatunkowego jest coraz rzadziej spotykany. W Polsce, choć nie jest jeszcze znany z niektórych krain, występuje prawdopodobnie na całym obszarze prócz wyższych partii górskich. Zasiedla tereny nizinne i górzyste, docierając w Alpach do wysokości około 2000 m n.p.m. Bionomia jest poznana fragmentarycznie — postacie dojrzałe poławiano przeważnie od czerwca do sierpnia na roślinności zielnej i na krzewach.
