Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1986c:

Gatunek występujący głównie w Europie południowej i lokalnie w Europie Środkowej, zwłaszcza w jej południowej części, notowany poza tym z Maroka, Algierii i Armenii. W Polsce jest chrząszczem bardzo rzadkim, wykazywanym z nielicznych stanowisk tylko w trzech krainach. Występuje na terenach wilgotnych nad brzegami wód.
