Taxon description
Gatunek opisany z Francji, notowany z Europy środkowej, jednak dokładne rozsiedlenie nie jest dobrze poznane, gdyż przez niektórych badaczy uważany za formę S. nanum (Muls. et Rey). W Polsce znany z dwu krain śląskich, od przeszło 60 lat nie notowany. Występowanie omawianego gatunku w naszym kraju wymaga dalszych badań, gdyż A. Horion (1949) nie zaliczył go do chrząszczy śląskich, natomiast wymienione wyżej stanowiska na Śląsku podał przy S. nanum (Muls. et Rey). Wymagania ekologiczne nie są znane.
