Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1976:
Pospolity, szeroko rozprzestrzeniony gatunek Europejski, na północy daleko sięgający poza koło podbiegunowe, notowany też z Azji i Japonii. W Polsce stosunkowo rzadko wykazywany. Występuje na terenach nizinnych i wyżynnych, wkraczając dolinami rzek i potoków do wysokości około 1800 m n.p.m. Spotykany w wodach stojących i płynących, na moczarach i miejscach bagnistych, poławiany w szlamie i mule, pod napływkami i opadłym listowiem.
