Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1981:
Gatunek szeroko rozprzestrzeniony w prawie całej Europie (z wyjątkiem północnej części Fennoskandii). Znanym, najdalej na wschód wysuniętym stanowiskiem jest Barnauł nad Obem. Wykazany ponadto z Afryki Północnej, Azorów, Madery, Wysp Kanaryjskich i Ameryki Północnej. W środkowej części Europy uznawany na ogół za gatunek pospolity. Rozsiedlenie w Polsce słabo poznane — nie wykazany dotychczas z przeszło połowy krain. Występuje w różnych biotopach pod rozkładającymi się szczątkami roślinnymi, padliną i ekskrementami.
